When we think about profile visibility, the first question to ask is, who do you want to be visible to? Is it recruiters? Other peers within the same industries?
Regardless of who you’re targeting, your profile is divided into numerous sections. Your intro and background sections should guide anyone through a brief of who you are now, who you’ve been and who you’d would like to be. You’ll mention your previous responsibilities and achievements when writing about your past jobs. If you are looking for your next opportunity, your best bet is to mention keywords you think a recruiter would use while searching for the type of job you have in mind.
Your skills section should start with your top 3 skills because that is what pops up first when someone visits your profile – and definitely ensure that your profile updates visibility option is turned on.
Content visibility
Anyone who has ever marketed before will tell you the same thing, content is king! Whether you’re writing about your products and services, or even just an opinion, it is always imperative to have your targeted audience identified. What do they do? What are their interests? Add hashtags, add graphic illustrations, have people engage with your content, so their activity will pop up and spread amongst their connection’s feeds as well.
