We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to joint their Data & Analytics team within Data & Technology team, reporting directly to the Director of Data & Analytics.  Soft skills are key here-- this person needs to a self-starter who takes initiative, with strong communication and collaboration skills.  They'll be expected to engage in a size and scope exercise alongside the other team members (Product Manager, Data Architect, BA, 2 other Data Engineers, 1 BA Developers).   Technical criteria that's needed is being strong with Informatica IICS, Snowflake, Python, AWS, technically broad experience of around 10 years.  They will be working with batched reporting.   Majority of reports are executive reports, so they are high impact and this person needs to be mindful of how data is being presented-- great problem solving skills are important here.   IICS, Tableau, Snowflake, Python-- everything has been configured and is in place and on the cloud, no set up or that kind of work required.  Might be engaged sometimes if there's some tools that need batch updates.  Sometimes Admin experience will be required in terms of how to set up pipelines, sometimes interacting with vendors, working with the CloudOps team when API is getting enabled with vendors, getting correct permissions etc.   Nice to have would be: - QA framework, validation framework, or control audit framework - Experience with Data Vault 2.0 (they're moving from traditional modelling to Data Vault 2.0) - Real estate or retail experience is a bonus but not necessary.

Description; The objective of this requirement is to secure the required Programmer/Analyst resources on an as and when required basis, to support new and ongoing software systems development, upgrades, redesigns and maintenance. The contracted resources will fill temporary and immediate needs. HRbrain is looking to bring on 2 DevSecOps Engineers    They support test environments across the retail LOB within Digital, predominantly supporting the online banking app.  The team is 6 FTE people and they have about 100 feature projects, so have reached max capacity, hence needing 2 additional folks.   This as opposed to the rest of the teams in the area, is *hands on technical* work.  This includes hands on troubleshooting, strong familiarity with Linux, working with OCP (OpenShift Container Platform) deployed within the Azure cloud space.  Folks need to also have strong working knowledge of Command Line, Navigation, and GitHub.   The candidates should be coming from a technical/development background to be able to do this type of work.   5 days per *month* currently required  (1 day/week, + 1 Friday/month)

• More generally, you’ll help to form and communicate technology guidance to standardize development of commonly needed capabilities.  For instance, work with SMEs within markets and enterprise to figure out what our API strategy should be, build consensus, document it on confluence, present it to senior leadership, and show dev teams how to implement it.
• In addition, you’ll review proposed architectures to align specific team requirements to high level goals of capital markets leadership and the bank.  For instance, why are you ordering a physical machine instead of using internal cloud?  Why are you using Redis over MemSQL?  Why are you pulling X from RBCAppA instead of RBCAppB?  Etc..
