We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to joint their Data & Analytics team within Data & Technology team, reporting directly to the Director of Data & Analytics.
Soft skills are key here-- this person needs to a self-starter who takes initiative, with strong communication and collaboration skills. They'll be expected to engage in a size and scope exercise alongside the other team members (Product Manager, Data Architect, BA, 2 other Data Engineers, 1 BA Developers).
Technical criteria that's needed is being strong with Informatica IICS, Snowflake, Python, AWS, technically broad experience of around 10 years. They will be working with batched reporting.
Majority of reports are executive reports, so they are high impact and this person needs to be mindful of how data is being presented-- great problem solving skills are important here.
IICS, Tableau, Snowflake, Python-- everything has been configured and is in place and on the cloud, no set up or that kind of work required. Might be engaged sometimes if there's some tools that need batch updates. Sometimes Admin experience will be required in terms of how to set up pipelines, sometimes interacting with vendors, working with the CloudOps team when API is getting enabled with vendors, getting correct permissions etc.
Nice to have would be:
- QA framework, validation framework, or control audit framework
- Experience with Data Vault 2.0 (they're moving from traditional modelling to Data Vault 2.0)
- Real estate or retail experience is a bonus but not necessary.
