Brief Description of Duties:

This is a UI Designer focused role with UX skills -At least 3 years of experience with UI Design and UX skills (Figma, Sketch, Adobe) -Looking for creative personality, the delivery cycle may be UX focused at times but primary goal is to drive design -Coding experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS is nice to have -Experience in the financial/banking sector, FinTech profile ideally -Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills -Previous candidates were too UX focused and did not have the UI skills required

You’ll work on the Investor’s Edge (IE), the client’s self-directed brokerage business, Product and User Experience team. As a Designer you you’ll work collaboratively to develop and produce best-in-class design solutions that exceed business objectives and user goals, while maintaining brand integrity.

• UX / UI Design Expertise – You are passionate about creating an excellent user experience and have deep understanding of how to apply brand’s visual language to digital solutions. You are able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into an intuitive interaction.
• Project Delivery – You will define and deliver design components and deliverables (e.g. wireframes, high fidelity mockups etc.) by working collaboratively with key team members from various disciplines (e.g. content, business analysis/product, development & quality assurance) within iterative design & development environment where timely delivery of design deliverables is critical.
• Collaboration – You will work with many team members across many disciplines to create outstanding user experiences. You are comfortable within an iterative process, you collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders as you design and convey your mobile and responsive design vision.
• Creativity – You’ll use your creative thinking skill to develop innovative and new solutions.
• Time Management – You’ll have the opportunity to help manage multiple concurrent objectives, project, groups and activities, while prioritizing and allocating time effectively.

Must Have Skills: 

• Experience as UI Designer *ideally within FI
• Experience as UX Designer
• Mobile Design experience
• Web Design experience
• Portfolio Included (Examples of projects they’ve worked on – Ideally show both UX and UI samples.)
• Degree/diploma in Interaction Design, or a related field
• Experience creating, contributing to and working with Design Systems

Nice to Have:

• FI experience
• Strong proficiency in modern design tools like Figma

• Data driven mind set paired with critical thinking and problem solving abilities
