Brief description of duties:

• They’re looking for a Sr. level person—someone who can do technical defect investigation, trace it through the system, investigate things, work on larger projects, work directly with business stakeholders to collect requirements, and present to senior leadership (great comms required).
• Liaises with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and to design the solution that will meet their business requirements
• Defines and communicates systems requirements at the appropriate level of detail to ensure application change is understood by various stakeholders (Business and IS) within a high-volume production environment
• Analyzes and conceptualizes the design alternatives of the solution, working with the Architects, Vendors, Developers and Quality Assurance/Testing, to achieve the client stakeholder objectives
• Owns and delivers functional change items through the transitional waterfall methodology, while adapting to changing priorities, operational needs and strategic initiatives
• Applies both in-depth business and technical (data driven) knowledge, to successfully represent the business and technology community in arriving at technical solutions
• Creates/Updates technical documentation such as requirements and specifications

MUST haves:

• Demonstrated ability to provide technology recommendations to the business stakeholders
• Experience with Delivery – working with Developers, Architects and Quality Assurance to design and analyze alternatives, assist in dev/test as SME, and complete a smooth implementation with business partners
• Proficient SQL skills and experience connecting data analysis to logical/business concepts
• Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving/decision request experience
• Advanced knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, application systems design, and data integration patterns
• Demonstrated proficiency in a team environment with projects involving the integration of disparate types of technologies/platforms and agile development
• Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, facilitation, presentation)
• Excellent ability to summarize complex and sensitive topics to effectively communicate to senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated initiative and leadership abilities – comfortable managing issues in cross functional teams
• Positive attitude, keeping a constant watch on how to do things better
• Adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges
• Conflict and issue resolution and escalation
• Ability to self-direct, own tasks and provide appropriate status to leadership
• Post-secondary education in a related discipline

• Knowledge of the Wealth Management and Financial Services industry
• Experience with Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM)
• Experience with SAP ECC, and HANA
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence
• BOBJ (aka SAP Business Objects BI or SAP BO)
