Brief Description on Duties:

Story Behind the Need:

Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) manages the development, execution and performance of GTEP’s strategy and roadmap. We ensure a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure and service delivery, that protects the customer experience and supports business growth. We lead efforts around performance, optimization and innovation, best practice portfolio management, GTEP financial management and transparency, and GTEP employee experience excellence. The Technology Program Office reports into the SPO and is responsible for the delivery of GTEP Strategic Initiatives. This includes Project/Program Management, Project Life-Cycle Planning, KPI Reporting and Benefits Realization. We provide an end-to-end view of all Global Strategic Programs and liaise with key IT Corporate Functions. Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the Solution Architect will be leading the upgrade and remediation of core technologies within the Bank.

Typical Day in Role:

• Developing and presenting functional and technical designs.
• Solutioning and developing scripts to deliver projects.
• Leading application teams to deliver solutions.
• Creating and executing implementation plans.
• Working with technical team members within matrix environments and communicating with stakeholders on an Executive level.
• Working on project end-to-end to define procedure/processes and push changes through delivery.

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:

• 10+ years of technical experience as a Solutions Architect, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering technical solutions. Their extensive experience should also include expertise in Software/Database development and design.
• 5+ years of experience on various protocols, scripting and programming (e.g. PowerShell, Shell Scripting, SQL Programming and Java).
• 5+ years of experience with designing system, network, and application architectures; both cloud and hybrid technologies (e.g. Azure and GCP preferred).
• 5+ years of experience performing root cause impact analysis and identify system interdependencies.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Previous exposure to the Banking Industry/Financial Services.
• Working in diverse large-scale enterprise environments.
• Working experience with MS Excel/Visio/PowerPoint.
• Certifications (PMP, TOGAF, CCNP, Cloud).
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Project management experience and ability to drive solution and delivery of project.

• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
• Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.
