Brief description of duties:

The Senior Data Engineer will build and support the cloud-based infrastructure for the data pipeline, including maintenance, improvement, cleansing, and manipulation of data and analytics across IMCO’s development and data platforms.  The Senior Data Engineer will be a collaborative expert in data warehousing that can drive solutions while working closely with data architects, business systems analysts, data management teams, and business stakeholders to analyze, design, and implement data-driven solutions for IMCO

The role will involve a key member in the Data Program initiative to build the Core Investment Data warehouse, working closely with the Data Architect on design and ETL development.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to designing and implementation of data architecture and technology infrastructure for new data and analytics platform with Azure data stack
• Design and build scalable ETL workflows for all data ingestion into the data platform
• Design and build complex SQL
• Build dimensional data model and data warehouse

MUST haves:

• 7+ years of experience in data warehousing: data ingestion, transformation and ETL patterns using modern data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data platforms with Azure data solutions including
  • Data Factory
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Analysis Service
  • Azure Synapse
• Experience building data warehouse solutions using Dimensional base design (Star/Snowflake)
• Writing complex SQL queries, views, and procedures
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts
• Strong communication
