Brief Description of Duties: 

The Crypto Engineering team is responsible for data protection for on premise, mobile and in the Cloud. We are tasked with the proposal, design, build, automation, implementation and L3 support of Data Protection technologies and, as needed, the re-engineering of existing technologies in the Security space. This will entail completion of low level design, build, and preparation/documentation for hand over to operational support teams.
The candidate must possess subject matter expertise on encryption and security for public cloud.

This role will be responsible for solutions in areas such as, but not limited to:

• Vormetric Data At Rest Encryption
• Hardware Security Module (HSM) – Thales, Entrust, Utimaco Attala
• SME in at least 1 or more of the following Cryptographic tools (Vormetric, Symantec Encryption Manager, Venafi)
• PKI (Microsoft CA, Self-signed CA, Verisign/Symantec)
• Data Classification and Rights Management
• Key Management

The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to engineer, design, build, support and document solutions in these areas of Crypto Engineering working closely with Business, other Crypto Engineering teams and the wider Engineering teams to ensure built solutions enhance productivity and add business value.

Must Haves:

• 8-10 years overall IT experience – technical SME
• Deep understanding of Encryption for data at rest – 3 years
• 5+ years of hands-on experience on various back-end storage platforms and OS (AIX, Linux, WIN, SAN, VSAN, NAS), Preference for person with previous role as Engineer on either of these technologies.
• Experience with encryption on various storage back-end (NAS, VSAN, SQL, Oracle, PostgresSQL, etc) – please specify in comment section, any of the following
• 3+ years’ Experience on file folder encryption on various OS platforms
• Expert level on Unix/ Linux ***important
• 3+ years hands on experience on Vormetric Data Encryption

• CISSP
• CCSP
• Azure Security Certification
• Applying Encryption and Key Management in Azure
