Term: 6 months + extension

Brief description of duties:
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to meet customers demand
- Guide the team on how to get the most of self-organization
- Assess the Agile maturity of the team and coach them to achieve higher levels, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
- Support team in project charter definition, budget forecast, and project admin (PO, invoice, etc)
- Facilitate getting the work done, support the team to remove the roadblock
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Influence and onboard internal and external partners in Agile project delivery
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
MUST HAVE:
- First level Scrum Master Certification
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years
- Excellent ability in facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of techniques required to properly operate Scrum such as Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
- Understanding of project management skills
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal players and vendors
- Bilingual French and English (written and verbal)
NICE TO HAVE
- Second level Scrum Master Certification (CSP, PSM II, etc)
- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Kanban
- Applicable knowledge of the IT/network technologies
- Previous experience as a team lead is an asset
