Brief description of duties:

Be accountable for the project management process, deliverables, for assigned projects

• Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC), hardware development life cycle (HDLC), and project management methodology (PMLC) – including development of project documentation of system requirements, estimates of scope and cost, etc.
• Complete the estimation process for assigned project(s)
• Monitor interdependencies across projects and the health of project milestones
• Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, is delivered within budget, and that it meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations
• Working closely with the Product owner to ensure collaboration between various leads in the project, maintain project velocity as well as present updates to various project stakeholders
• Adhere to defined project gating and governance controls to ensure that the project meets all the performance and quality standards and conforms to the SDLC methodology · Balance project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks
• Lead the development and/or review of estimates and estimating assumptions for the project’s schedule and effort using established estimating models, best practices, and benchmarks. This includes configuration management, risk management, project measurement, quality management plans, and sourcing strategies and policies
• Provide detailed and accurate forecasts for all deliverables according to PMLC/SDLC practices
• Negotiate and issue project documentation as agreed to by the Project Sponsor and involved stakeholders
• Develop and manage a solid scope change order process
• Provide input to the portfolio resource/capacity plan in compliance with the capacity forecasting process
• Identify all project dependencies and risks, ensuring that they are effectively managed
• Ensure mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks
• Execute project management deliverables within budget and per the approved project plan, working with business partners to develop the content of those deliverables
• Control change to project scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
• Understand release and deployment management implications for the projects being managed
• Investigate and escalate issues, and ensure that all project issues are effectively resolved

MUST haves:

• Managed multiple projects concurrently with total budget exceeding $5 Million
• Project management planning, delivery and accountability
• Highly developed written and superior communication & presentation skills
• Successfully implemented Agile Projects either within Higher Ed or other industries.
