Salesforce Developer

Description;

The objective of this requirement is to secure the required Programmer/Analyst resources on an as and when required basis, to support new and ongoing software systems development, upgrades, redesigns and maintenance. The contracted resources will fill temporary and immediate needs. This requirement is to acquire the necessary expertise and resources to ensure continued operations of these systems and business continuity, as well as expertise to continue to streamline and improve the current architecture as the organization continues to transition to a more cloud-based SaaS model whenever possible. Current projects include, but not limited to Greener Homes Program, OEE Grants & Contributions CREED and other Salesforce systems.

The contractors must carryout the following tasks for the Departmental Representative and/or Project Authority as indicated on each issued task authorization:
• Create and modify code and software
• Create and modify screens and reports
• Gather and analyze data for the conduct of studies to establish the technical and economic feasibility of proposed computer systems, and for the development of functional and system design specifications
• Design methods and procedures for small computer systems, and sub-system of larger systems
• Develop, test and implement small computer systems, and sub-systems of larger systems
• Produce forms, manuals, programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications
• Work in close collaboration with the testing team to perform Quality Assurance and User Acceptance testing as required before new releases of applications.
• Work in close collaboration with the cyber-security expert to assist and the Security Assessment and Authorization Process (SA&A) for new and existing applications
• Work with staff and other contractors to ensure that applications continue to meet Government of Canada standards and policies.
• Collaborate with technical experts in Shared Services Canada as required.
• Provide expert advice in Salesforce technologies and tools
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and knowledge transfer

MUST HAVE;
• Minimum 10+ years performing application analysis, design, construction, coding, testing, debugging and documenting.
• minimum of ten (10) years of experience* within the last 15** years in designing applications in an Enterprise-class technical environment of 250 or more users
• minimum of ten (10) years of experience* within the last 15** years in analyzing functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows
• Canadian Public Sector** within the past five (5) years
• Salesforce Platform Developer certification
• Working in at least two (2) of the following Salesforce technologies within the past five (5) years.

• Salesforce APEX programming language
• Salesforce Shield
• Salesforce Data-loader
• Working in at least one (1) of the following Cloud technologies (see below) within the past five (5) years.
• Cloud Technologies:
• Platform as a Service (PaaS)
• Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Agile Methodology within the past five (5) years
