Individual Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for executing technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders; developing analysis to support process and project improvements
  • Manages and coordinates business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, development and implementation using SDLC methodology
  • Works with clients to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements, and implementation of projects
  • Ensures that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives
  • Identifies, analyzes, mitigates, documents, and controls project risks
  • Provides effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors, and management
  • Identifies resource needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members
  • Drives the assessment and management and mitigation of project risks that impede successful project delivery
  • Reports on and manages project resource tracking and budgets for project area
  • Understands nature of impact and creates lessons learned for future delivery
  • Strong contributor able to enable others within immediate team
  • Manage all aspects of the digital product development lifecycle, including project scoping, resource assignment, project plan development, budget management, project tracking, monitoring and reporting through the application of proven project management principles and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation (Project Plan, Issue and Action Logs, Risk Management, Communication Plan, Status Reports, Post Implementation Reviews, etc.).
  • Identify benefits expected from initiatives and conduct post implementation reviews to report on and track results.
  • Pull together resources effectively to implement projects. Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish objectives.
  • Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage potential risks that will arise. Communicate these to the stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure decisions are made quickly and effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7 -10 years progressive experience in project management, preferably in projects associated within the Human Resources domain
  • Experience implementing Candidate Relationship Management applications associated with all aspects of recruitment and hiring
  • Have expertise in managing both waterfall and Agile/Scrum project methodologies; PMP or CSM designation would be an asset
  • Experience with both SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, etc.) a plus.
  • Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture.
  • Strong project financial forecasting and cost management
  • Vendor management experience would be an asset
  • Experience in defining and completing fit / gap analysis of technology solutions
  • Understanding of IS Risk review processes and controls for technology implementations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
  • Has experience overseeing programmers, database admins, system engineers and architects, server admins, security admins, network engineers, vendor SME’s, functional business managers
  • Demonstrates skill, and strong interpersonal skills for the role across the project
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of area of practice
  • Use knowledge of the discipline and the market to suggest alternate approach options to leadership based on current project obstacles and objectives
  • High standard of work within the project applying both skills and experience
  • Links actions to clear outcomes
  • Working knowledge of the business needs related to the project with some industry awareness of key trends
  • Constantly learns from both success and failure
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
  • Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audience
  • Strong analytical skills, copes with complex situations using both skills and experience to lead to the right outcome
