Story Behind the Need

Description:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst, IT Performance and Corporate Analytics, will lead requirements and business systems analysis, and support development, testing and support business stakeholder inquiries. This role will liaise with Performance business stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into actionable requirements and technical specifications to build sustainable business and technology processes and reporting.
The candidate will work with inputs from public and private investments data and market data to calculate performance processes, calculations and analytics and drive reporting solutions. We are looking for someone with strong understanding of investment performance concepts (e.g. portfolio hierarchies, composites, benchmarks, performance attribution, money-weighted & time-weighted returns, IRR) and system expertise in implementing performance system solutions (Eagle PACE experience preferred). Experience working with market data, benchmarks, and ABOR data is required.
The incumbent has worked in an agile environment and practices, and can expect to work in SCRUM or Kanban methodologies. This role will report to the Senior Manager, IT Performance and Corporate Analytics.

You Will be Responsible For:

• Lead requirements gathering, testing and system configuration for upgrades, and day-to-day enhancements.
• Act as performance subject matter expert to business partners, IT stakeholders, and operation teams.
• Contribute to business cases for corporate projects and systems implementations
• Execute supporting business system activities such as system configuration updates and market data onboarding
• Managing client and support relationships and run intake sessions and request backlog, and business facilitate prioritization.
• Coordinate backlog, collaborate through forums, and coordinate with technology architects and IT partners for requirements, design, prioritization, and architecture decisions.
• Define and refine operational processes, SOC 2 compliance, and production support, as well as ensure the supportability of all solutions /with proper documentation and training.

Must Haves:

• Investment performance concepts (e.g portfolio hierarchies, composites, benchmarks, performance attribution, money-weighted & time-weighted returns, IRR)
• Data experience with – IBOR data, data management, and investment reference data
• Requirement analysis, testing, and implementation of large scale implementation projects
• Agile – Scrum or Kanban
• SQL
• Reporting (Power BI preferred)
• Data mapping, create queries, navigate database
• Market and risk data

Nice to Have: 

• Knowledge of investment performance systems, Eagle PACE is preferred.
• Knowledge in reporting and analytics with Power BI is preferred.
• CFA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSC, Lean and/or Six Sigma, or PMP designation is an asset.
