Brief description of duties:

The client is about to start a large program to more than 4 major applications for their life insurance business (policy, claims, billing, tax) off of their mainframe into a Nutanix environment.  This means conversion of all the Mainframe Cobol code over to Micro Focus Cobol code. A small team of the client’s resources will be dedicated to leading the vendor.  Their enterprise architect would like a senior developer with some systems analysis and/or architecture experience to assist in the technical leadership of the vendor and project.

MUST haves:

• Strong communication skills
• Strong experience with Microfocus Cobol
• Strong experience with Mainframe Cobol (ideally converting mainframe Cobol to microfocus)

Nice to haves:

• Experience with conversion projects is a strong asset
• Experience with Nutanix is a strong asset
