Brief Description of Duties: 

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for collaborating on the development and execution of complex projects. Infrastructure Engineers have a thorough skill, understanding, and mastery of all aspects of the specialty area. Infrastructure Engineers lead projects with 2-3 internal/external resources.

• Maintain and enhance enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
• Interface with systems analysts, solution designers, data architects, and business stakeholders, to understand the business-technology infrastructure requirements.
• Daily management, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise-level IT infrastructure policies and solutions; ensure they are adopted across the enterprise.
• Design, develop, test, and document solutions within a complex technology infrastructure environment to align technical and business goals.
• Work with a team of analysts, engineers, management, and business stakeholders to identify optimal infrastructure solutions for implementation, while assessing technical and business suitability and its impact to the enterprise’s systems.
• Manage daily operations and functionality of technology infrastructure solutions and applications.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend operational procedures and best practices to optimize processes and workflow efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge and understanding of company operations/procedures, and insurance industry trends/developments, to enhance the security process.

Must Haves: 

• 7-10 years of the following technologies:
• CICS, BMS Maps (IMS DB/DC)
• JCL
• JES2, SDSF, MVS commands
• VSAM
• z/OS concepts and utilities

Nice to Haves: 

• 5+ years in the following technologies (preferably)
• Control-M (job scheduling)
• DFDSS, FDR (back-up/restore)
• DFDSSrmm (tape mgmt.)
• RACF (Really nice to have)
• ADO, GIT, IDz, Topaz, VS Code
• Assembler
• COBOL, DB2 for z/OS, SQL
• DumpMaster
• Insync
• ISPF/PDF, CLIST
• Mainview (CICS, DB2, z/OS)
• OMVS/USS
• REXX
• Knowledge/experience in the following technologies
• AIX, IBMi
• DB2 Admin Tools
