Description:

• The role is a backfill for their chief architect. They are looking for a Guidewire Architect who has enterprise level experience.
• As a Guidewire Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire solutions for our organization. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions using Guidewire products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the system. Your expertise will drive the architectural decisions, provide guidance to development teams, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Architectural Design: Design and architect Guidewire solutions based on business requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to development teams, guiding them in implementing Guidewire solutions effectively and efficiently.

Solution Development: Lead or participate in the development of Guidewire applications, modules, and integrations, ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines.

Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.

Integration: Design and implement integrations between Guidewire applications and other systems, including third-party applications and internal systems.

Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Guidewire applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define test plans and ensure the quality of Guidewire applications through rigorous testing.

Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and deployment guides.

Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and team members, providing guidance on Guidewire best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Guidewire technology and insurance domain, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Guidewire Architect, with expertise in architecting and implementing Guidewire solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Guidewire InsuranceSuite products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire configuration, customization, and integration using Gosu, Java, XML, and web services.
• Experience with Guidewire Studio, Guidewire Data Model, and Guidewire Integration APIs.
• Familiarity with insurance industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to lead and mentor development teams.
• Certifications in Guidewire products (e.g., Guidewire Certified Professional) would be a plus.

Must Haves

• Experience upgrading number of legacy systems to Guidewire
• 5+ years using Guidewire
• Great communication

Nice to Have:

• Enterprise level architect experience
