Brief Description of Duties:

The candidate will be working on the Data Management team on a few projects.

• Finishing off a Private Attribution project – hand-holding performance team members and helping them understand logic and processes that are sitting on top and underneath data
• Portfolio management system implementation + Master data management (MDM)
• Total Return Swaps (TRS) system implementation

Responsibilities:

• Strong focus on data quality, data feeds, data reporting, data mapping, ETL, Business Intelligence and reporting
• Work with internal team, custodians, and vendors
• Understanding business process, business requirements, and working with performance team to understand what they need and how to overcome challenges that arise
• Dealing with investment operations (accounting, clearing, settlements)

Must Haves: 

• Experience with a variety of assets classes (Equities, Derivatives, FX, Fixed Income, etc.)
• Swaps experience
• Portfolio Management System experience
• SQL – must be able to write stored procedures and analyze SQL code

Nice to Haves: 

• Master Data Management (MDM) experience – implementation of system
• Experience with investment-related applications (Eagle, Bloomberg, MSCI BarraOne, Mpower, Murex, Sophis, Charles River)
• Shops: HOOPP, CPPIB, OMERS, Manulife investments, OTPP, AIMCO, other pension companies
