Brief description of duties:

This resource will be required to engineer and support our BMC discovery tool (ADDM). This resource will work with my asset and configuration team to stand up new collection nodes and perform upgrades on existing infrastructure.
Deliverables:

• Working in collaboration with the project team
• The creation of BMC collector nodes
• The successful implementation of updates to the discovery tool
• Support and documentation for work completed

MUST haves:

• Education: University or College IS program, ITIL v3 highly desirable
• Systems: understand Linux/Unix, Windows, Storage, Mainframe, Network, Database, Application software, Cloud infrastructure
• Experience in managing technology implementation
• Implementation and configuration of BMC Discovery for Enterprise Configuration Management
• Working with a holistic and dynamic view of data center and multi-cloud assets
• Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship building skills
• Implementation, training, and development in Discovery products
• Capable of dealing with multiple Stakeholders/ user groups to ensure Discovery meets their desired outcomes
• Hands-on experience with the latest version of BMC Discovery (HELIX)
• In-depth experience with infrastructure discovery and business application modeling
• Act as the BMC Discovery subject matter expert and advise on implementing best practices in one or more datacenter technologies – Storage / Backup / Networking / Virtualization / Unix
• Excellent TPL development skills to expand discovery beyond the out-of-the-box capabilities
• Work in conjunction with the end client to best utilize the full capability of BMC Discovery
• Perform Data Quality Assurance tasks on an operational basis
• Experience being “the go-to” person on a Discovery implementation and customization
