Brief description of duties:

The client is in the process of implementing an overarching architecture that holistically integrates, transforms, and shares the client data. This architecture is achieved via several projects and will address the client’s current data management problems and has the following goals:

• Increase data handling capacity by orders of magnitude (provide more data to consumers)
• Make data accessible, shareable, and understandable (democratize data and increase value extraction)
• Provide data security and data access auditing
• Support data governance (automated data quality)
• Support standardization (solutions and reusable components based on data concepts, master data, aggregation, trending, etc.)
• Streamline and automate data flows and business processes
• Simplify data refreshes and provide tools to businesses to test the data before release
• Ability to adjust system capacity to meet variable demand
• Support remarkable customer experiences with the client data through BI visualizations integrated on web pages and integrated within the client Global Search and based on client existing UX standards wireframes and information architecture

Services

• Collaborate with other architects in the architecture teams to provide required architectural artifacts such as conceptual architecture, logical architecture, physical architecture, and overseeing the overall Business Intelligence Architecture including security architecture, ETL, and data architecture.

• Participate in business requirements facilitation sessions and identifies and documents architectural significant requirements.
• Formulate strategies for identifying and designing BI reusable components.
• Develops reference architectures for various architecturally significant business scenarios and conducts reviews to ensure their implementation. Implement as a proof of concept a number of architectural components identified in these architectures.
• Review (as part of architecture gating), Qlik Data Models in various projects in accordance with business requirements and alignment with conceptual, logical, and physical architectures.
• Adhere to the client’s standards, methodologies, and processes.
• Work with Applied Architecture Manager and Enterprise Architecture Manager to identify and prioritize architectural artifacts to be delivered.
• Collaborate with technical and business staff in the development of architectures and during implementations
• Ensure interoperability, performance, and scalability, reliability and availability, data consistency, cost-effectiveness, and technological risks are all addressed in the architecture;
• Ensure solutions are documented and communicated effectively for their intended audiences.
• Leverage strategic plan, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in the creation of enterprise architecture deliverables.

Data Lake services (e.g. AWS Glue, S3, Athena, EMR) and integrations with Qlik Sense
